After all that sunshine it was inevitable - the June wine pack had to be a rosé one.

We’ve included four versatile bottles from the old world in this month’s pack. Though perfect keeping in the fridge door ready for the next glimpse of sun, these rosés are all food friendly and work in any weather.

Casa Ferreirinha, Touriga Nacional, Portugal, 2024 

One of the first producers in the Douro valley to lead the way in the production of high quality still wines, rather than Port.

This is the lightest of the 4 wines; the grapes undergo a very short cold soak before fermentation to maintain bright red fruit flavours and freshness.

Luberon Rosé, Famille Perrin, France, 2025

From the legendary winemaking family Perrin of Chateau Beaucastel, this is a classic Southern French style of rosé.

A blend of red and white grape varieties, paler in style for fans of Côtes de Provence. 

Poche Ore, Tre Monti, Italy, 2024

You may know this one from our wine on tap selection - a medium bodied rosato made by Vittorio at Tre Monti.

Poche Ore translates to ‘a little time’ referring back to the maceration with the skins that only lasts a few hours. Despite the short time in contact with the skins this wine has a darker hue to it and a touch more structure, perfect for salumi and cold cuts.

Risueño, Abel Mendoza, Spain, 2022

The darkest and most structured of the pack, Rioja has a long history of making fuller bodied rosé wines, often aged in oak and released several years after the harvest. Some of them resemble lighter reds rather than rosés.

A blend of Graciano and red and white Garnacha. More of a savoury style with some weight to it - this is the perfect bottle for a BBQ.
